Counselling Supervision
Face to Face Dorset
Online Nationally

Having run  a successful  private practice for some years now, I am excited to be able to support other counsellors in private practice.

I focus my supervision on working with counsellors either considering setting up their own private practice, or currently running their own private practice.

I consider supervision not only a safe space to reflect on your client work, but also a space to reflect on your own processes in your counselling work  and support you as you navigate the challenges of running your own private practice.

'Going it alone' can lead to anxious and uncertain moments, I will be there to support you through these moments, also bringing in my experience as a counsellor specialising in working with anxiety, I can help  you navigate some of those 'not good enough'. 'am I out of my depth' , ' I can't do this' and 'imposter syndrome' moments

Supervision

Having worked through the CPCAB Level 6 Supervision training I have studied both the Cylical Model of supervision and the Seven Eyed Model of supervision.

I tend to favour working with the Cyclical Model but incorporate both models within my work as a supervisor.

This means that through our sessions we will focus on the relationship between you and your client and between you and me as your supervisor.

Our work will look at

  • Contracting

  • How the supervision session is relevant to your client work

  • Exploring your work with your client

  • Using the supervision space to learn from your work with your client and consider how to integrate this back into your sessions and enhance your therapeutic relationship

  • Review your client work so you can reflect on the standard and the quality of your work

Growing your private practice

Alongside supporting you with your client work we will also look at ways to support you grow your private practice and increase your confidence as a counsellor in private practice.

This will probably include the things you didn't learn in your counselling training, but the things that I have learnt along the way running my own successful business

I will be led by you as to what your needs are but this could include things such as

  • Success Planning

  • Note keeping

  • Assessments

  • Money mindset

  • Marketing and advertising

  • Writing directory profiles

  • Social media presence

  • Expenses

  • Growing your client base
