Is anxiety something you struggle with almost everyday?

Do you constantly worry?

Do you find it difficult to stop your thoughts going
round in your head?

Do you always think the worst will happen?

Do physical symptoms such as chest pains, stomach cramps,
racing heart trouble you?

These are all signs of anxiety and struggling with these on a
daily basis can be exhausting and scary.
As someone who struggled with anxiety for many years
I understand how you are feeling.

My own experience of counselling led me to train as a counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

How Can I Help You?

Counselling provides a safe place just for you.

A place where you can talk to someone about what is
really going on for you,
You can talk about the things you feel you can't talk to your friends and family about.
This helps you to understand why you are feeling anxious
and what things you can do to help reduce that anxiety,

This will help you lead a calmer, happier and more content life

How can you book a session?

If you are ready to talk about your anxiety and look for ways
to help you manage your anxiety
and stop your panic attacks
then please do get in touch today.

You can book an initial session at a reduced cost to help you decide if counselling is right for you.

The first session is pretty informal, just for me to understand what is going on for you and a chance for you to get to know me.

We can then make a decision about future sessions.

Helping you reduce your anxiety
and stop your panic attacks

Why have I got Anxiety?

Anxiety can be triggered by recent or past events

Many events in life can cause stress and if stress continues this can lead to anxiety

Difficult moments in your life such as relationship break ups, divorce, births, deaths, work stress can all lead to anxiety

You may have always had anxiety maybe due to the environment you grew up in or experiences from your childhood.

Anxiety is a necessary emotion it helps protect you from threat or danger

However it may be your anxiety response has become hypersensitive

How Can Counselling Help?

If your anxiety has become too overwhelming for you it can be helpful to find ways to manage your anxiety.

Being able to talk about your experiences that are causing you stress or anxiety can help,

I provide a safe, confidential and relaxed space to help you discuss the things that are worrying you.

Being able to talk to someone who has no judgments or preconceived ideas about what is bothering you can be a great relief.

It is through talking about your problems and then formulating a plan tailored to your needs, that together we find ways to reduce your symptoms and manage your anxiety.

Helping you lead a calmer, worry free life

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a researched based therapy that has good evidence in reducing anxiety.

Through the sessions we may practice some tools and exercises that you can use to reduce your anxiety

As part of my service I also offer an optional follow up programme of e-mails and check in sessions, to keep you on track.
Ensuring you continue to manage your anxiety leading to a calmer life.

Generally my clients find that their panic attacks will stop after 6-12 sessions. (of course this cannot be guaranteed)

Previous Client Experiences
Counselling with Laura helped me move from a place of negative anxiety and depression that would stop me from putting myself in social situations, to a place where I feel confident and can manage my anxiety.
I am amazed at how far counselling with Laura helped me progress emotionally and mentally. I have felt I have been able to discuss anything in a safe environment
Thank you Laura for helping me manage my anxiety. I am now able to put myself into situations i couldn't before without thinking I am going to have a panic attack
How long will I have to wait for my appointment?
Unlike the NHS counselling Service I do not have a waiting list.
Generally I can make an appointment to see you within a week.
