How counselling has helped my clients

If you are unsure about how counselling can help you read what past clients have said about their counselling

"Counselling helped me move from a place of negative anxiety and depression that would stop me from putting myself in social situations, to a place where I feel confident and can manage my anxiety.

"Since working with Laura I feel my mood has improved, I have less "down days" and my relationships with my family are better"

"Counselling helped me find new ways of how to think and feel about myself and the people around me"

"Counselling helped me get through quite a difficult and unexpected time in my life and I very much appreciate the safe space to explore my feelings and finding a clear way forward"

"I felt broken and so down at the beginning, counselling helped me feel safe and secure. My mind finally feels free and clear"

"I am amazed at how far counselling sessions helped me progress emotionally and mentally. I have felt I have been able to discuss anything in a safe environment"

"With Laura’s support I was pulled back from the edge. When I first saw her I was in a dissociative state and near to breaking point. After 15 sessions of unburdening myself, being listened to and guidance from Laura I was able to start functioning again and back in touch with myself.  I always felt safe and valued in her space."

Counselling fits under the umbrella term 'talking therapies'.  It allows you to discuss your problems and any difficult feelings in a safe and confidential place.

I specialise in working with anxiety helping you to find strategies to manage your anxiety, reduce the amount you worry about things, help you to understand how your thoughts can lead to you feeling more anxious and work with you so you can lead a calmer and more relaxed life.

Counselling can help you understand yourself better and help with the way you think, which will ultimately help you develop a clearer understanding of your problems.

Counselling can help you understand how you interpret other peoples words and actions. This will help you to make decisions based on your own thoughts and feelings.

Counselling is not a 'quick fix' but more of a process. A process through which you can come to a greater understanding of yourself and your relationships with other people and the impact this all has on your life.

There are many different types of counselling and I am trained in a range of therapies that can suit you or the problems you face.

If you need a counsellor near you who offers CBT therapy or a range of talking therapies.

Or you could take my online course at £60, this 6 week course introduces you to the basics that help you manage your anxiety, it is not a replacement for therapy, but it is a good starting point.
